We were recently told by Zoe Cameron that the north east corner of Mardy Field should be enhanced this Autumn by planting a handful of native trees (Rowan, Hawthorn and Amelanchier) with a seating and wildflower area as well as pathways to provide easy access. This will hopefully encourage community support for further development. And Jane Clarke, the MCC Green Infrastructure Project Manager, is hoping to include the Mardy Field in next year's County-wide proposals to enhance 'greenery and wild life corridors'
